Another Georgia Southern Eagle has been called to the professional baseball ranks.

Junior relief pitcher Dexter Bobo was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates Thursday as the 1,315th overall pick in the 44th round.

When reached for comment over the phone Thursday, the Darton College transfer was unsure whether or not he would pursue a professional career now or play out his senior year at Georgia Southern.

Bobo picked up two saves while striking out 32 in 34.1 innings during the 2009 season.

Pitcher Chris Beck (Jefferson/Jefferson) went in the 35th round to the Cleveland Indians while outfielder/infielder Arthur Owens (Fairburn/Sandy Creek) was chosen by the Kansas City Royals in the 38th round.
