Head coach Nathan Kellogg announced the 2009-2010 Georgia Southern swimming & diving schedule Monday.

“We have a very challenging schedule with dual meets against some very tough ACC, SEC, and CCSA competition,” said Kellogg.

The season opens in Atlanta. on October 3rd at 1 p.m. in a meet with Georgia Tech, Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast.

“Right off the bat, we'll be able to tell who we are as a team within our first few meets, but our focus is on the CCSA Championships all season. We have the mentality that dual meets are learning opportunities and building blocks toward the CCSA Championship meet.”

The Eagles' first home meet is set for November 6th against Campbell. The Camels finished seventh at the CCSA Championships last season.

The final meet before the winter break will be the three-day Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C.

The Eagles will host a two-day three-team meet on January 15-16. GSU will take on Florida Gulf Coast, Gardner-Webb and North Florida in the RAC.

The CCSA Championships will take place in Knoxville, Tenn. on February 18-20.
